Glyfada on the south coast of Attica, is well known for the vibrant atmosphere, the lively entertainment, the interesting shopping and of course the beach. Two marinas host a number of yachts and the young crowd flocks to the water sports and other athletic activities. The population of the American Airbase located at nearby Elliniko until the early 1990s contributed in part to the neighborhood’s character and development. Glyfada can be reached conveniently from central Athens by tram.

The beach at Asteras Glyfadas is one of the most prestigious, with clear waters and golden sand. The celebrated Glyfada Course is the oldest golf course in Greece and attracts many visitors who appreciate the excellent location.

Famous and popular George’s Steakhouse, Queen burger a reference point and the oldest burger house in Greece, the famous chocolate covered buns at Tasos, healthy smoothies and shakes at 4shake, delicious loukoumades at Melu are only a few of the main culinary attractions.
